Here's one just for people who live in the
United Kingdom only, (England, Scotland Wales & N. Ireland)
FREECALL-UK is giving out 0800 telephone nubers
to people who live in the UK so that you gan get on the net
24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 52 weeks a
year.
As far as I can see, (and I've read all the
paperwork), the only catch with this is that when you initially sign up
for feeecall-uk, they ask you to offer their service to at least 4 other
people, this keeps their advertising costs down. A bit of a pain
I know, but when you get total free internet, it's only a minor problem.
When you have offered 4 other people their service and they have signed
up to freecall-uk, you will get your 0800 telephone number.

'ICQ', probably the handiest program you will
ever come accross, you can download it and use it for free. You'll
never again have to go searching for your friends if you are all on ICQ,
it lets you know when your friends are on line. You can chat direct
to them in your own chat room. You can join other chat rooms, send
e-mail, search the web. There's no limit to what this program can
do.If you do decide to use it, you will be given an access number, mine

says. There is so much software on this site that you'll be there
for hours, probably days. Loads of stuff for your homepage, games,
the list is endless. One of my favourite sources of 'stuff'
'GAY COM' is a nice place to while away those
long lonely nights. My favourite part of Gay Com is the chat area.
Once you have entered Gay Com, try accessing the womens area, you'll find
the link on the right hand side of their first page. There are loads
of different rooms to explore, you'll be there for hours. Chat to
girls from all over the world. Oh, yes, It's free as well.
'GEOCITIES' another of my favourite sites.
Here you can get a free website to build your own homepage on, free e-mail,
and loads of other goodies. When you arrive, look for the homestead
areas. The gay area is called West Hollywood. Have fun there,
I do.
DWYCO just has to be the best video conferencing program ever.
Unlike Microsoft's Net Meeting, you can have as many open video / audio
contacts as your system can handle. You can see and talk to them
all at the same time. You can decide whether you want to automatically
accept calls from others or not. Set up your own, password protected
room for you and your friends to meet in. DWYCO supports full duplex
sound and full colour display from your webcam. The shareware version
has unlimited use. The only minor niggles with the shareware version
are that it has a nag screen on startup and you can only transmit colout
video for 5 minutes per call, then it reverts to grey-scale. The
purchase price is only around £20.00, so it has to be the cheapest
around.
